Symptom

Your computer shows a strange behavior. Programs crash often, the display seems distorted, the web browser or Windows explorer cannot be used as usual. As you use an antivirus-software you are convinced that the strange behavior cannot be caused by a virus.

Cause

Antivirus-software does not detect all viruses. Many of them are towed into the machine inside unsuspicious software and pass the antivirus-checks unnoticeably.
